Privacy Policies of the Internet services
Urban Networks, Inc. values our customers and we sincerely respect your privacy on the Internet. We consider our customers’ personal information to be an important subject of concern and care and take precautions to maintain the confidentiality of such information.
In connection with taking orders and in providing you with service, we may collect personally identifiable information such as your name, address, phone number, social security numbers, driver’s license numbers, account information and email address. We also may collect and retain as necessary personally identifiable information regarding your computer hardware and software, modems, routers, settings, and preferences to assist us in providing you with reliable service. Except as noted herein, this information is private and confidential and we do not share with third parties any knowledge, information, processes, ideas or documents concerning the business and affairs of our Customers or any of their dealings and transactions.
For internal purposes, we may use, consistent with and subject to applicable law and regulation such as CPNI regulations, your information for such things as sales, installation, operations, administration, advertising, marketing, support, network management, maintenance, customer care, communications with you , and billing and collection. As is the case with most Internet services providers, we automatically collect Internet Protocol (IP) addresses, the amount of bandwidth used, connection performance, and connection dates and times. In addition, we may collect anonymous usage statistics to help us manage our network and for other purposes.
We reserve the right to disclose you Information if we have a good faith belief it is necessary to: (1) comply with the law; (2) protect our rights or property or those of others; (3) respond to fraud, abuse or unauthorized reception; (4) enforce our published acceptable use policy; or (5) act in an emergency to protect your safety or that of another. In addition, information concerning your Internet access may be subpoenaed by the government or by others. Files shared over “peer-to-peer” services often include your IP Address, and you could be identified in this way if we receive a lawful subpoena. Law enforcement may be able to obtain details about your Internet use and the content of communications through a court order or similar authority.
To the extent consistent with applicable law, we reserve the right, at our discretion, to modify or remove portions of this Internet Privacy Policy at any time. This Internet Privacy Policy is in addition to the Acceptable Use Policy and any other terms and conditions that may apply based on your applicable service agreement.
This Internet Privacy Policy should be reviewed periodically so that you are updated on any changes. Also, keep in mind that this Internet Privacy Policy does not cover third party web sites that you might access via your internet connection. We do not make any representations about third party web sites which may have their own separate privacy policies.
